Sandra Sue Wood

Sandra Sue Wood passed away July 23, 2026 in Yukon, OK, at the age of 86. She was born October 5, 1939 in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Leota Bernice (Rennick) Ludeman and Lyle Sherwood Peck.

Sandra was raised on a farm for 13 years before attending college and earning a Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Kansas. She married Clyde Wood and together they had two children, Matt and Kelly.

Sandra worked on civil service for the United States Air Force for 11 years and later as an administrative assistant for Lockheed Missiles & Space Company. She retired in 1994.

After living in Florida for 32 years, she moved to Littlefield, Texas, where she lived from 2008 to 2019 to be near her first cousin, Carolyn West, and Carolyn's husband, Neil. In 2019, she moved to Oklahoma.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, along with her first cousin Carolyn West and best friend Ann Boykin.

Survivors include daughter, Kelly Knowlton and husband Reed; son Matt Wood and wife Jerry; granddaughter, Kory Von Tress and husband Joshua, Madeline Willenbrink and husband David; and great-grandchildren, Kyler Von Tress and Ashby Willenbrink.

Private family services will be held.
