Scott Wayne Hasty

Scott Hasty, age 52, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott was born on March 26, 1974, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to DeWayne Hasty and Linda Fanning. He grew up in a lively household of three boys and graduated from Yukon High School with the Class of 1992.

Those who knew Scott knew had several passions. He possessed an incredible mind for facts and trivia; whether it was a Hollywood movie star or a professional athlete. Scott could instantly recall their stats, history, and stories. This passion bled into his sports fandom, as he was a fiercely loyal fan of OU football and a devoted follower of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Scott had a deep love for music of all kinds. He often created personalized CDs for his family members. Even as technology changed and CDs became a thing of the past, Scott kept his tradition alive, making sure that others had a custom soundtrack from him. He also had a legendary sweet tooth. Every week, Scott took great joy in helping create the family grocery list, making sure his favorite treats were added. Above all, Scott loved his family and absolutely doted his cat, Beau. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, JC and Effie Mae Hasty; grandmother, Gertrude Miller; uncles, Carl Miller, Jimmy Miller and Ronnie Hasty; aunts, Jan Miller and Pat Norman, and cousin, Steve Hasty.

He is survived by his dad and stepmom, DeWayne and Joy Hasty; mother and stepdad, Linda and Ron Fanning; brother Jason Hasty and wife Jami; brother, Kevin Hasty and wife Tricia; one niece; three nephews, one great-niece, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
