Sharon Ann Griffin

On September 24, 2023, Sharon Ann Griffin, 82, of Yukon, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born December 2, 1940 in Geary, OK and had lived in Yukon since 1963.  Sharon was a retired grade schoolteacher, having taught for 26 years, primarily in the Piedmont public schools. Sharon loved people and was always eager to connect with former students, neighbors, lifelong friends, and especially family. She was active with her faith as a long-term member of the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene and more recently the Edmond First Church of the Nazarene.  Sharon is survived by her daughter Valerie Davenport & husband Mark of McKinney, TX, sons Jeff & wife Kim of Yukon, and Scott & wife Wanda of Laguna Niguel, CA, sister Donas Rye & husband Tom of Edmond, 10 grandchildren, 3 (soon to be 4) great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Dorman (2002), her father, John Donald Grass (1982) and mother, Fern LaVera (Coleman) Grass (2010). Sharon's lasting legacy extends to her family and friends who were positively impacted by her presence, love, and care.  Sharon was a loving and adoring wife and mother, passionate about the people in her life, and fully committed to always showing up in their lives. Services will be held Friday, September 29 at 3pm at Yanda & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Yukon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28 from 5-7pm at Yanda & Son 1500 W. Vandament Yukon, OK.
