Sharon Sue Lafaver

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sharon Sue LaFaver, of Yukon, Oklahoma. Sharon was born July 23, 1945 in Beardstown, Illinois to Eugene J. and Velma L. (Campbell) Brown, and died September 25, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with family by her side.

She grew up in central Illinois and after high school completed nurse's training and became a Registered Nurse (RN). Sharon and her parents loved horses and raised a number of race horses and western pleasure show horses in Illinois. Sharon worked as a Registered Nurse in Springfield, Illinois until she moved to Port Orchard, Washington in 1986 to be near her parents and brother. While in Washington, Sharon became a surgery nurse and was part of the open-heart surgery team for many years. In 2001, she moved to Yukon, Oklahoma to be near her daughter. Sharon retired from nursing after 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patty, and her brother Gary. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Beaucourt (Jim), and her grandson, Alexander Beaucourt. She will be remembered by numerous family members and friends. She loved spending time with family, growing roses, and traveling.

Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by the service at 11:00 A.M.
