Susan Kay Hayes

My sweet, beloved wife, “Boo,” Susan Kay Hayes—a loving and caring mother, a loyal friend, a compassionate and dedicated nurse, and the best dog mom a puppy could ever have—has gone to be with Jesus. She was born on December 18, 1962, in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Susan spent her life caring for others. Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and her kind, genuine heart was reflected in everything she did. She devoted 35 years to serving others through her nursing career, all while facing lifelong health challenges of her own. Even so, she always found more love and strength to give to Jeffrey and to me.

There is no doubt the world is a better place because she was in it. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the funeral home. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma, with interment to follow at Yukon Cemetery.
