Teresa Lynne Horn

Teresa Lynne Horn, 53, passed away on August 20, 2023, at Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on February 28, 1970 in Oklahoma City to parents Terry Lee and Barbara H. Horn.

Teresa loved her family and her friends fiercely. She was a devoted mother to her son, Joshua Lee, and a proud grandmother to her four grandsons: Benjamin Lee, Silas Rae, Ander Scott, and Jonah Lynne. They all called her "Ga-Ga", and were her delight and the light of her life! Pastor Leorn Stenson baptized Teresa at the River of Life Church in 1992. She later became the Praise and Worship Leader for Pastor Kenneth Hoyer's church in Oklahoma City when Joshua and NiRae were young. She knew Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Teresa was a force to be reckoned with, and could be firm but fair. She would try to move Heaven and Earth for her dad, and would tell anyone that he taught her everything she knew about the business from the ground up. Teresa tried to teach Joshua everything she knew and was so very proud of the man he has become. She never met a stranger, and made friends from coast to coast. Teresa would give you whatever she had. She was unafraid to go without if you needed something. We cannot forget all of her animals, her horses and dogs that she dearly loved. She had a servant's heart, and was a friend to all. She has spent many hours volunteering at shelters and loading docks for food pantries or whatever was needed for Suicide Prevention Chapters. She was there for the past 8 years in honor of her daughter, NiRae Christine.

Teresa was preceded in death by her sister Tonya Christine Horn, and daughter NiRae Christine Newman. She leaves behind to honor her memory one son Joshua Lee Newman (Lindsey Shae); grandsons Benjamin Lee, Silas Rae, Ander Scott, and Jonah Lynne; parents Terry Lee and Barbara Horn; aunt Kathie Savill; aunt Myrna and uncle Charles Kolar; and uncle Jerry D Horn. There are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends too numerous to list as well. Teresa loved with her whole heart!

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel on Friday August 25, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. Internment will follow at the Red Hill Cemetery outside of Mustang, Oklahoma.
