Thang Xuan Nguyen

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Mr. Thang Xuan Nguyen, who died at his residence on December 21, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 43. Thang Nguyen is survived by his parents, Xuan Nguyen and No Nguyen of Yukon, Oklahoma; his wife, Tsz Yan Tiffany Chow; and two children, Jonathan Nguyen and Nick Nguyen.

Thang was born on October 29, 1981, in Vietnam, and he came to the United States with his parents during his early teenage years. He was an active member of the Buddhist Temple and had a successful career as an airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic for AAR and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Thang was a dedicated and loving father. He enjoyed spending quality time with his two boys, taking them on road trips and vacations. He taught them how to swim, reel in a fishing pole, start a campfire, and many other valuable life skills. Thang was deeply devoted to his family and would do anything to ensure that his loved ones received the help they needed.

Thang brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of those who knew him with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless generosity. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts. A Buddhist service celebrating Thang's precious life will be held on December 26 and 27, 2024, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, where friends and family are invited to honor a life that, although short, was truly a gift to us all.

The service and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma. The burial will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Yukon Cemetery. Memorial gifts and donations are welcomed during the services.
