Thomas Francis Gappa

Thomas Francis Gappa, 75, of Yukon, OK passed away Saturday August 17, 2024 surrounded by his daughters and grand children. He  was born April 27, 1949 in El Reno, Ok to Anthony "Dick" Gappa and Ruby Jester Gappa.

Tom married the love  of his life Janice Olson, December 7, 1968 in Yukon, OK and she preceded him in death in 2016. Tom was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. He worked at Sherwin Williams Automotive paint for years selling paint and serving in various management positions. He was able to retire early in his life and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is also preceded in death by his parents and sister Helen Gappa Bowden.

He is survived by his daughters: Jacquie Bratcher and husband Greg of Yukon, OK and Stacy Penland and husband Mike of Yukon; brother, Bob Gappa and wife Selma of Eugene, OR; and grandchildren: Matthew Kelley, Thomas Bailey and wife Macee, Lauren De Leon and husband Cristofer,  Brandon Penland and Cassidy Stewart. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Amelia and Elliott Bailey, who were the light of his life; brother/cousin Steve Jester and wife Renee, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Wake Services will be held Thursday August 22, 2024 at 6:30 P.M.., with the Mass of Christian Burial to be held Friday August 23, 2024 11:00 A.M. Both services will be held at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, OK. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Catholic Charities or The Center of Family Love in Okarche.
