Thomas Gary Lumpkin

Thomas Gary Lumpkin, 74, of Mustang, Oklahoma, went to join the love of his life in heaven on December 19, 2023. He was born on March 3, 1949, in Taylor, Texas. Tommy graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1967. After graduation, he met and married the love of his life, Sherry, in 1971. They raised their children in Cypress, Texas, and moved to Oklahoma in the late 1990's. Tommy was a member of the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He always enjoyed playing his guitars, fishing, and driving his hot rods. Tommy spent most of his career as a CNC programmer in the oil and aerospace industries. Above all else, he loved the time he had with his grandsons who brought him an immense amount of joy.

Tommy is survived by daughter Natalie Thomas and husband Craig; grandsons Taylor, Cooper, and Anthony Thomas; sister Peggy Stockton and Husband Terry; sister Jackie Hoiden and husband Bill; sister-in-law Chris Redding; sister-in-law Cheryl Christie; and brother-in-law Marvin Hintzel. He was preceded in death by his parents John Benjamin and Gladys Lumpkin; mother-in-law Wilma Faye Morgan; father-in-law James Morgan; brother-in-law David Redding; brother-in-law Johnny Christie; and sister-in-law Barbara Hintzel.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Tommy at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.
