Tommy Gene Delong

Tommy Gene DeLong, 86, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on May 17, 1939, in Seiling, OK, where he grew up and graduated from Seiling High School. Tom honorably served his country in the United States Army before attending Friends University in Wichita, KS. After graduating, he moved to Des Moines, IA, where he began a dedicated 35-year career with the United States Postal Service.

After retiring, Tom embraced a vibrant second chapter in life as a passionate square dancer and talented square dance caller, sharing his love of music and movement and bringing joy to many in his community.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bernice DeLong, and his brother, Don DeLong.

He is survived by his wife, Libby DeLong; son, Darrel DeLong and wife Katy; grandson, Dalton DeLong; great-grandson, Travis DeLong; granddaughter, Lexi DeLong; and daughter, Darla Eason; grandson, Caleb DeLong;  He is also survived by his stepson, Pat Gagle and wife Jennifer; grandsons, Seth Gagle and his wife Coco, Grant Gagle and Brett Gagle; granddaughter, Samantha Steinert and husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Evan Gable, Layla Steinert and Adam Steinert; and brother, Bob DeLong.

Tom's legacy of hard work, service, and love for dance will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling, OK.
