Valda Louise Dayton

Valda Louise Dayton, age 99, of Piedmont, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Bethany, Oklahoma. She was born on February 16, 1927, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to A.A. and Murriel (Bullard) Quinley.

An independent woman, Valda spent most of her life in her beloved home, where she enjoyed the beauty of the surrounding nature and lovingly cared for all animals. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont and was dearly loved by her church family and members of the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Meryl Roy Dayton, and her son, John Dayton.

Valda is survived by her church family and many cherished friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Piedmont, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Mathewson Cemetery in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
