Virginia Dale Kincaid

Virginia Kincaid, age 74, passed on September 29, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born December 24, 1949, in Stillwater, OK. In the 80s, Virginia owned a holiday store called Holiday Originals where she let crafters put their items on consignment and she would personalize by painting on crock for families. Virginia was most known for her Dough Art Christmas Ornaments. She started making them in the 70s and created many different keepsake ornaments until 2022. She was also known as the butterfly lady. In the mid 90's, she helped her daughter's elementary school, James L. Dennis, put in the first butterfly garden for Putnam City Schools where she also won the Golden Apple Award. She helped many other schools all over Oklahoma and the United States put in butterfly gardens and raised awareness for saving butterflies.

Virginia loved her family dearly. She is survived by her mother Nelda, sister Johanna, daughter Jenny, and grandson Tyler. She loved teaching her grandson how to garden and make her dough art ornaments. Virginia will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

To remember Virginia, the family would prefer pet-friendly house plants instead of flowers because they were her favorite.
