Wanda Diana "Diane" Berousek

Wanda Diana Berousek (Diane), 79, of Yukon, Oklahoma left us on April 6, 2026 after a short illness. She was born in Coffeeville, KS in 1946 to Joseph Bollen and Dollie Bollen (Landrum). She grew up in Coffeeville before moving to Yukon in her teens to live with her mother and sister. In Yukon she got a job at the Yukon bowling alley and met the love of her life, James Berousek. They were soon married and she settled in as a mom and homemaker to raise their two children, Deric, and Jimmy. Later in life she got to spoil her only grandchild, Tifani Berousek. She and James had an amazing 58 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed going to estates sales. She loved to work in the yard and had a beautiful garden; it was one of her greatest passions. Her family teased her about how everything she grew often exceeded its expected size. She was the gentlest of souls and a friend to everyone. As anyone who visited with her can attest, you were never hungry or sad after leaving her.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Dollie, her brothers and sisters, Nellie Mead, Bobby and Billy Bollen, Ruby Ross, Lillie Stephens, and Shirley Dalton, her husband James and son Jimmy, and her granddaughter Tifani. She is survived by her last remaining sister, Darlene Ohama and husband Abe, her son Deric and daughter-in-law Mitzi, her sister-in-law Marilyn, her niece Linda Vandiver, and her niece Lona Burnell, who helped her though her last days, as well as many other nephews, nieces, and cousins. Diane had many friends and family and was truly loved by them all. We will miss her.
