Wanda Dobrowolska

Wanda Dobrowolska, age 89, was born January 30, 1934 in Wysokie, Poland. She passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at her home in Yukon, OK.

She came to Salt Lake City, Utah from Warsaw, Poland in November 1983, moving to Yukon, Oklahoma in 1988. A nurse in Poland, she later worked in administrative and accounting positions. When she moved to the United States, her education was not accepted so she attended night school to get her GED. She then worked as a nurse's aide in a retirement home, before retiring to stay home to take care of grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her sons, Marek Kamienski and Janusz Kamienski.

She is survived by her daughter, Ilona Samara; husband, Lech Dobrowolski; grandchildren: Karolina Kamienska, Anna Kamienska-Mercer, Ewelina Junkins, Laila Samara, Magdalena Samara, and Zain Samara.

Memorial gifts may be made to Lech Dobrowolski.

Viewing will be held 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the funeral home. A Rosary Service will be held at 9:45 a.m., followed by Mass of Chrisitan Burial at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 12, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, OK. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery.
