Wilma Ruth Atwell

Wilma Ruth Atwell, 87, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed from this earth into her Savior's hands June 22, 2022. She was born May 12, 1935 in Naylor, Missouri. She was a long time resident of Yukon, Oklahoma. Wilma retired from Gulfstream Aerospace in Bethany and spent 8 years following retirement as a volunteer at the Yukon Integris Hospital. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Yukon, and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling the United States on bus tours with her friends.

Wilma is preceded in death by her father, John C. Alexander and mother, Lillie I. Alexander of Harviell, Missouri; brothers, James C. Alexander of Yukon, Oklahoma and George R. Alexander of Naylor, Missouri, and son, Richard L. Atwell of Norman, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her son, Mike Atwell and wife Roxanne of Piedmont; daughter, Karen Rossman and husband Jim of Riverside, California; daughter, Cindy Chandler of Yukon, and grandchildren: Lindsay Atwell, Brittany and Josh Bailey, Jimmy and Kayla Atwell, Kevin Atwell, Jennifer Gaudy, Jonathan Rossman, Crystal Cooper and Felicia and Benny Stotts. Wilma is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Don Alexander of Searcy, Arkansas and John M. Alexander of Republic, Missouri.

Viewing will be held 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, and Wednesday, June 29 until 1:45 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m., at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery.
