Wilma E. Ridley

Wilma E. Ridley passed away on November 20, 2025, while residing at The Lakes, going to join the friends and loved ones who passed before her. She was born on September 1, 1937, in Clarita, Oklahoma, and later moved with her family to Oklahoma City. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1955.

Wilma's love of softball began in high school while playing for Capitol Hill. As an adult, she continued playing and made lifelong friends along the way. One of her greatest joys was cheering on her OU softball team as they won multiple championships.

Wilma worked for Gulfstream, General Motors, and Tinker Air Force Base, where she helped assemble B-52 bomber wings—work she was deeply proud of.

She was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Verna Cothrum, as well as Linda Ennis and Terry Rice.

She is survived by her nephew, Jeff Skelly, and his wife, Debbie.

A service in her honor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday November 25, 2025 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK, with cremation to follow. She will be laid to rest at the Yukon Cemetery at a later date.
